I made it to Florida and the renovations have started! I share my Instagram stories if you’re interested in seeing the projects from start to finish. My electricians and plumbers have already started work and my hall bathroom remodel will start next week. I will be replacing old 12×12 inch porcelain tile with an updated marble hexagon. I am still deciding on the wall tile but it will be a complementary shade of either sea green or mint green, I just need to make sure my pattern complements the existing shades of green in the floor tile.
Green is a popular hue on both kitchen cabinets and modern tile installations. The color can be described as trendy, but I’ve always found green to be timeless. In interior design, it is our preference for green colors that have changed over time. Remember that avocado greens were popular in the 1970s and forest greens in the 1980s! Sage was all the rage in the 1990s, vibrant coastal-inspired teal was popular in the 2000s, and more organic hues like olive green and muted grey-green are trending colors today.
The color green will never go out of style and how could it? Green is everywhere in nature and is so calming that it makes a great choice for bathroom showers and walls. Below are some creative green tile bathroom installations, some of which have inspired my own bathroom remodel.
